Nokia Announces CDMA trifecta In China
Looks like Nokia’s CDMA phones are a big hit in China too. Now, the company has announced three low-end to midrange handsets for the Asian market. Right now, these phones primarily target China, so will not be available in most other pockets of the continent for some time now. The 1506 is a very basic candybar-type phone, which includes a voice recorder and speakerphone. This is also regarded as Nokia’s cheapest CDMA device yet.
The 3806 comes with a QVGA display, Bluetooth 2.1 and microSD card slot for up to 4GB. The most obvious thing about this phone is a “Health Assistant” feature. Have to wait to see what exactly that’s all about!
Finally, the 6316s is a slider phone that comes with GPS and EV-DO, keeping in mind China Telecom’s 3G network. It also offers a 2MP camera. This and the 3806 are not expected to hit the market till Q1 2010, whereas the 1506 is expected to arrive this year end.
