Best Buy Introduces Mobile Backup Facility

Best Buy today officially announced their new internet-based facility that allows their customers to store and sync their user content on Best Buy’s servers. The service is called mIQ and gives users the ability to sync SMS messages, photos and videos, calendar and social networking data and even back them up whenever necessary.

mIQ offers users free data up to 1GB. According to Best Buy, the facility is compatible with BlackBerry 9700, Bold and Tour; Nokia E71 and N97; HTC Touch Pro 2; T-Mobile Dash 3G and Samsung Omnia II. The mIQ service will be available from October 12.
