RIM’s BlackBerry Bold 9700, which had been on sale with many well-known carriers worldwide, was shipping a couple of weeks ago, only to those who AT&T thought were kinda “special”. The other “not-so-special” guys had had to wait a little more for their desired smartphone. Now, that wait is thankfully over.
The BlackBerry Bold 9700 is now available to order directly at the AT&T website, for $199.99, after a $100 mail-in rebate and two year contract. Okay guys, who’s interested to get their hands on this beauty now?

The hyper-hyped Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 smartphone has a long time yet for release, but there are already a lot of rumors flying around about this. The latest suspicion is that this wonderful device is going to AT&T.

xperia x10
The reason for this rumor? Well, the fellows at Phandroid spotted that the UMTS frequency spec had been added onto this device. Further, the 800/850/1900/2100 bands clearly indicate AT&T’s 3G network. Anyway, we simply have to await more information to know the truth, right, guys?

Now, a simple app can transform your staid Apple iPhone/iPod touch device into a brilliant recording/editing program. Amidio’s Touch DJ app, which is available for $19.99, lets users independently manipulate two MP3 or MP4A files, including looping, scratching, pitching and so on. The UI of this app is elegant and simple enough to use and gives the user a “visual mixing” feel of it all.

The only catch here, though, is that the user has to reload tracks directory onto the MP3 library – he can’t get it in thru his iTunes library. Still, this seems to be good enough right now. Take a look at the video below and you’ll know what we mean.

Altec Lansing has now come out with two new of its Orbit range of speakers, the Orbit-M and the Orbit USB. Both are very portable, though slightly different target audience-wise. The Orbit-M comes with a 3.5mm jack and connects to your mobile devices. The Orbit USB, on the other hand, is a USB connector and hence, is suitable for your laptop.
While the Orbit-M is grey in color and runs on battery, the Orbit USB comes in black and charges via the USB port. It also has a tiny kickstand, which you can use to angle the sound trajectory. Additionally, the Orbit-M uses an analog signal, whereas the Orbit USB takes a digital signal and transforms it into an analogue signal inside the speaker.
Visit www.alteclansing.com for more info on their entire autumn 2009 collection.
